Our Winter Wear Slipper Guide
If you need an extra layer to stay comfortable this winter, consider a great pair of house slippers to be your first line of defence. Well fitted and well made, the Peter Sheppard line of
men’s and
women’s slippers are an investment in your comfort and wellbeing around the home. When shopping for a pair both in-store and online, we always recommend:
1. Considering textiles: If you’re looking to stay warm, we recommend considering suede and wool. Need an extra layer against moisture? Some leather slippers are sturdy on the outside and lined with soft textiles on the inside to ensure you can guard against a chill.
2. Looking for grip: Though an entirely suede-covered shoe might sound like a dream, trust us – when faced with a smooth surface, you’ll appreciate the extra grip. A rubber soled slipper (or a pair with dotted grips) can keep you walking with confidence on tile, hardwood, and linoleum floors. Better yet, a rubber sole can give your feet a bit of lift and added protection against particularly cool floors in the morning.
3. Finding your fit: Think that slippers are a one-size-fits-all solution? Think again. Our collection caters to wearers with
wide feet,
narrow feet, and everything in between. If donning orthotics in the house, we can even recommend a pair that will cater to your extra space needs.
