Meet Our Hugo Sheppard Buyer

Made with sartorial flair in Europe, each pair of Hugo Sheppard shoes is a chic work-to-weekend staple. Hugo Sheppard Buyer Kim Temuskos purposefully selects shoes that are versatile enough to take you from day to night with ease. Each shoe is made with quality materials to keep you in complete comfort.

To find out a little more about Hugo Sheppard and the inspiration around each collection, we sat down with Kimberley and asked her a few questions.

Can you tell us a bit about you, your experience at Peter Sheppard and how you came to be the Hugo Sheppard Buyer?
I have worked in fashion retail for the past 15 years, starting off on the shop floor and working my way into different merchandising departments. I have been working for Peter Sheppard Footwear for 18 months as the Product and Buying Coordinator where I have gained so much experience working with suppliers and learning about the high standard of quality across our footwear range. I have always been interested in buying for a retail business, so there was no hesitation when I was given the opportunity to create a collection under the Hugo Sheppard brand.

What do you look for each season when buying shoes for the collection?
I like to see what trends & colours are emerging from Europe. I then try to create a collection using them, at an affordable price range. Quality, comfort and affordability are the key characteristics I look for in footwear. It’s about having a bit fun and taking some risks with some of the styles for the Australian market.

What trends are you particularly enjoying this season and where can we see these in the Hugo Sheppard collection?
I have enjoyed seeing the western/military look trend for winter. Styles such as BANEN, BENJI, JOVIE, BOYD & BRODY capture this look. Sportluxe is also another favourite of mine - My sneaker collection is bigger this season because of it.

What’s in store for spring/summer 2020?
A lot of intricate detailing, interesting textures & pastel colours will be in store for spring/summer 2020.

Lastly, what’s your favourite shoe in this season’s collection and why?
Its hard to choose just one, but I would have to say JOVIE. A heeled winter boot that I can wear all day and night is a must in my winter wardrobe. I love the snake print and the detailing of this boot.
